The aim of this thesis is to investigate the factors that influence violations on the bus lanes in Athens. For this purpose, data collected from on-site measurements using visual observation on the roads of Athens were analyzed. The measurements were conducted in the year 2021 and 2023. The analysis was carried out using the statistical method of linear regression. The models examined the extent to which each parameter affects violations on the bus lanes. Two models were developed in total, one for the year 2021 and another for the year 2023. The analyses revealed that the critical factors influencing bus lane violations include the number of lanes, the length of the road, the type of vehicles, the time of day, and the direction in which the vehicles are traveling.
