“Development of the Road Safety Strategic Plan in Greece 2021-2030” for the Ministry of Infrastucture and Transport (2021)

The objective of this project is to develop the National Road Safety Strategic Plan for the measures/actions to be undertaken at national level by all relevant stakeholders to improve road safety in the country during the period 2021-2030.The development of the Strategic Plan will lead to the definition, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the necessary actions to drastically reduce the number of road crashes, fatalities and injuries. The Strategic Plan should be aligned with the European Strategy framework to achieve the target of a 50% reduction in fatalities and serious injuries in road crashes by 2030, compared to the year 2019. The National Road Safety Strategic Plan is developed with the aim of improving the road safety level in the country, through a holistic and integrated approach to Road Safety, but also taking into account and integrating other policy objectives such as sustainable development, sharing economy, etc.
