“Development – specialisation of actions of the strategic plan for the improvement of road safety in Greece” carried out for the Ministry of National Economy (2002-2003)

The objective of this research project is the development and specification of measures proposed in the Strategic plan for the improvement of road safety in Greece (2001-2005) which are found to be of immediate implementation. According to the experience word-wide, these high priority measures are effective and their prompt implementation is realistic in Greece. The safety measures to be specified are referred to the Road Safety Audit. Road Work Zones, and the Enforcement of seat belt use, drinking and driving and speed.
