The Deputy Ministers of Interior
Stelios Petsas and Finance
Theodoros Skylakakis recently signed a decree for the inclusion of the project
"Road Safety Improvements in the national and rural road network" in the
Recovery and Resilience Fund, which is financed with 492 million euros by European Union -
NextGeneration EU. The project concerns the implementation of short-term interventions at reduced road safety locations on the national and rural road network (excluding the regions of Attica and Crete). The ultimate aim of the project is the
reduction of the number of road crases and the increase the safety of residents and visitors.
