Rally Acropolis Road Safety Event, Athens, September 2021

The Deputy Ministry of Sports in collaboration with Motorsport Greece organized a road safety event on 8th September, at the Zappeion Megaron, in the framework of EKO Rally Acropolis. At the event, a head-on collision and a rescue of a trapped injured person were simulated. Two strong road safety messages were also displayed. In the first one, the Olympic gold medalist in rowing, Stefanos Douskos, highlights: «We always wear a seatbelt in the car, wherever we sit», while in the second one, the captain of the National Polo team and silver Olympian, Giannis Foundoulis, reminds: «We always wear a helmet and protective gear on the motorcycle». Road safety actions, under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports, will continue throughout the year until the start of the next EKO Rally Acropolis.
