Compulsory anti-skid chains, March 2022

According to the Ministerial Decree (ΦΕΚ Β’1144/14-03-2022), which was recently approved, anti-skid chains are compulsory, when traffic restrictions are imposed by authorities, due to adverse weather conditions. All categories cars must be equipped with snow chains or other similar winter equipment, except for those with snow tires. This specific driver obligation applies at national or regional level, during the period from October to April and when the prevailing conditions require it.
