The Road Safety and Simulation International Conference was established in Rome in 2007 as a biannual platform for researchers and professionals of different research backgrounds and expertise where to share individual experience and state-of-the-art research in the area of road safety and simulation. The main aim of the Conference is to improve upon the existing knowledge in the area of road safety and contribute to reduce number of accident fatalities and injuries occurring worldwide, through the dissemination of innovative research and applications.
The 8th RSS 2022 International Conference will take place on 08-10 June in Athens, Greece, hosted by the National Technical University of Athens Road Safety Observatory (NRSO) in cooperation with the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers (HITE) under the auspices of the City of Athens and the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The Conference’s theme this year will be: “Road Safety and Digitalization” aiming to capture all recent trends in road safety emerging technologies, surrogate measures, augmented and virtual reality, big data, modeling and simulation, which are expected to boost global road safety in the coming years. Road safety experts and scientists from all over the world will join forces for a widely open discussion on both traditional and innovative solutions with high potential for traffic safety improvement.
